Abstract

An integrated database, developed with free software tools, is presented to catalog and document the biological diversity of the marine-derived species of the aquatic biota of the Amazon Basin, with information on nomenclature, geographic distribution, habitats, conservation status, genomic sequences, and bibliography relevant for 225 valid species of Porifera, Mollusca, Arthropoda e Chordata. The complete database is available for querying at http://mar.biotupe.org.
